Sorry I haven't posted in a while.  It's been a busy week.  First of all I was at work on Monday and started feeling quite a bit vaginal/pelvic pressure.  I tried to contact my Dr.'s office but they were taking a while to get back to me and I was of course looking at stuff on the internet and finding the worst case scenarios of what this could mean.  I decided I would just email Dr. J and ask him if it was anything to worry about, hoping he would say no.  Well I got a response back from him right away and he said that I needed to be seen and that he would see me since I was having trouble getting a hold of my OB's office.  So I left work and met Rob there.   Dr. J checked my cervix and said he thought it felt a little soft and maybe a little short, so he decided to contact my OB's office because he wanted them to see me, since pregnant womens' cervix's really aren't his specialty;).  So he finally got a hold of the OB on call and he wanted me to come to OB triage.  So we saw him there.  He actually thought my cervix felt ok, but he wanted to see me in the office the next day just to make sure.  So the next day I had a vaginal ultrasound to measure my cervix and it was perfect at 4.6.  We were so thankful Dr. J was so willing to see me and then to take the time to get ahold of someone in the OB's office for us.  He is just such an awesome Dr. and SO caring.  He told us that he hadn't checked a cervix for a long time and hoped that he was wrong, but said that he never ignores someone with pelvic pressure!  So it turned out I am probably going to have pelvic pressure as everything becomes bigger and heavier in there and that I don't need to worry unless it accompanied  by bleeding and/or contractions.

So part 2 of this post is about our ultrasound that day.  The tech was so sweet and after she did the vaginal US asked us if we knew what we were having yet...of course we didn't but really wanted to!  So she said she didn't have much time but she would take a quick look.  She did and abd US and took a look at our sweet little babies for us.  Baby A is still a wild one!  Always upside down and kicking up a storm on US!

Then she took at look at baby B.  We got a really good profile pic and then it started sucking it's thumb....it was so cute!  And calm;).

TWO GIRLS!!  WE COULDN'T BELIEVE IT!

There will be so much pink, bows, tutus, etc in this house!!!  Yay!!!  So much fun!!!!

And part 3....I guess I should do a 17 week post:)

How far along? 17 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: + 3.7lbs total

Maternity clothes? Yes...all the time pretty much...at least pants anyway

Stretch marks? Not yet

Sleep: I don't sleep  well, still having vivid dreams and waking up a lot.

Best moment this week: finding out the genders of our babies!!

Movement: Maybe, but I can't be sure.....I can't wait to be sure!

Food cravings: Not really any cravings or aversions....still loving fruit!

Gender: Two Girls!!!  Now we must try to agree on names....of course we had agreed on two boy names:)

Labor Signs: No! And there better not be for a long time!  That pressure thing scared me!

Belly Button in or out? In, but it is getting flatter for sure

What I am looking forward to: our next ultrasound at 20 weeks just to make sure our girls haven't grown any parts that we couldn't see;)...and to make sure they are healthy!

Weekly Wisdom: Don't worry about what anyone else is going to think...if something worries you get checked out for your own peace of mind!

Milestones: Maybe finding out the genders....I don't know if that's a milestone or not:)

No picture this week....not much different.  I'll post one next week!

I am glad that all was okay and I remember our high risk OB telling me with our second set of twins that if a woman who is pregnant with twins does not go to the ER at least once before the actual birth then she is not paying attention to her body..who knows if his is always true but I went abou 10 times :)

Since I have twin girls I will tell you it is FUN!!!! oh and a little dramatic.
