I am so excited!! We were on a waiting list for an informational meeting at IAC(adoption agency) on December 5th(this saturday) and got a call today that they have a spot for us!! We weren't supposed to be able to go until the January 9th meeting. I was getting a little down because I just really wanted to get started, so I am excited to see if this is who we want to go with. We are also going to a meeting tomorrow night with a different agency to check out their program. I also faxed an intake form to another agency and haven't heard anything from them(maybe that's our sign that they aren't the ones for us.) It is so hard to know who to go with. I still feel the most pull towards the one that we get to meet with on Saturday, though. Just thought I would post a little update. There hasn't really been anything to update lately. We are just "patiently" waiting to get the ball rolling.

Lindsey thats soooo exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is hard to choose but keep praying on it and God will lead you! What a nice sign to go to the meeting this Saturday though..

Write down all your questions during the week so you will have them ready its hard once your there to think of stuff :)
Congrats on your decision to pursue adoption!! That's awesome!
I worked for Bethany for awhile and have pros and cons about going with them. But they do have a great on-line forum where you can talk to tons of other families that have gone through the adoption process. It's a very helpful place to feel connected and supported and challenged.
So exciting!! I'll be praying.

Just found your blog. I have a huge heart for adoption, so nothing makes me happier than hearing families pursuing thier children that way... in the same way that God pursues us! If you haven't read "Adopted for Life," it is a must. It explains the beauty of adoption in a way I never could've imagined. Congratulations to you & your husband!
Hi Lindsey! I have not been on here or gotten to talk to Michelle in a long time, but had you on my heart in the last couple days. What wonderful news that you are being given new directions in your journey to become parents! Hey, there is a great group of ladies on the Resolve Adoption board (go to Inspire.com and then search for adoption and then chose the Resolve group for Finding a Resolution for IF. Be aware most pple post only to members so unless you join, you will not see as many posts. I love the ladies I know from there that have finally landed at the Parenting after IF board with me--and you can be there too!!!! Sooooo excited for you!

Hey Lindsey!! I am so happy for you guys. Good luck with everything. I heard a wonderful speaker a couple of nights ago at Carmel Luthern Church. She struggled with infertility for years and she told us all about it and her faith and how God led her to adopt her first and have her own through a surrogate for her second baby. She now has two little boys and has a very strong faith. I will pray that there is a little one avaiable for you soon. Love, JulieQ
